So, We Asked Darby A Few Fun Questions
So, we asked Darby a few questions to help you get to know her a little better. Those questions are found below—along with her answers. We hope you enjoy them!
Where are you originally from?
“I grew up in north central Nebraska on a farm just outside of Butte. My graduating class had 12 people in it! 10 of us went from kindergarten through 12th grade together and the other 2 came in 2nd grade. I was involved in many activities and sports. I have a brother and a sister.”
Married? Children?
“I have been married 25 years this year and we have 2 boys. The oldest just started college and the youngest is in elementary school.”
What made you decide that you wanted to become a dental hygienist?
“When I went with my sister to her orthodontist appointment in high school, I thought it looked like a fun job to be one of those girls working there! Before that, I always wanted to be an architect.”
Do you have an unusual or interesting hobby?
“I love spending time with my family and friends. We have a cabin near Gross, NE, close to where we grew up and spend a lot of weekends there. It is a great place for hunting and fishing and not too far from Ft. Randall Dam for boating.”
What do you enjoy most about being a dental hygienist?
“I truly love getting to know all the patients. I love what I do as a hygienist.”
