WE RECENTLY ASKED DR. Henley a few questions about his career. Here are his answers – thought you’d find them interesting!
How old were you, and what made you decide you wanted to become a dentist?
“I actually started considering it sometime in high school. I knew I wanted to work with people directly and not be behind a desk. I like problem solving so what better way to do both than by being a dentist!”
Where did you attend school and how long have you been practicing?
“I attended Creighton University and have been in private practice here in Omaha for just over 25 years now!”
What advice would you give to a young person considering a career in Dentistry?
“Talk to as many dentists as you can to get the largest overall view of dentistry. Dentistry is changing dramatically but is still a very good profession. Just be sure to talk to as many dentists as you can so that you can get a better overall understanding of what it is to be a dentist. Dentists wear many hats.”
What is one thing you find most satisfying about being an dentist?
“I truly enjoy and never get tired of helping people fix their teeth and their smile, especially people who are afraid of dentistry or who had given up hope on their teeth.”
We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Dr. Henley better! And, as always, THANKS for being our valued patients and friends!
