HERE AT DOWNTOWN DENTAL GROUP WE LOVE THE FOURTH OF JULY! Independence Day is coming up, and it’s a great time to reflect on—and express gratitude for—all of the precious freedoms we enjoy every day. It’s also a great holiday for enjoying time with friends and family. We enjoy being part of the community too!
We Asked Our Team, “What Are Your 4th Of July Plans?”
Dr. Costello…
“View the local parade, stop at a park for ice cream, cook out at home and fireworks to end the day!”
Jenna…
“My 4th of July plans are going to the Wauwatosa parade, and then heading to a big picnic in Brookfield with friends!”
Jen W …
“We always watch the Wauwatosa parade since my dad is in it with a veterans group, than a cookout with family and fireworks at night.”
Katie …
“We aren’t sure yet! We do know it will involve parades, fireworks and lots of fun with the kids though!”
We Asked Our Team, “What Was Your Most Memorable 4th Of July?”
Michelle…
“My most memorable was definitely being in New York when I was 16-we were up in an apartment complex (my husband’s uncle used to live in NY) they were the Macy’s fireworks, we saw them going off simultaneously off of 4 barges over the water. It was COOL :)”
Mary P …
“My most memorable 4th was 2 years ago when it was over 100 degrees and we were camping on the ridge overlooking the Mississippi River at Wyalusing State Park. We could see the fireworks from several towns. It was so hot with no breeze and we slept in our tent with ice packs on us all night.”
Gail …
“Our school would have a parade from the playground to a local park. We got little flags to waive and we would get a dixie cup (with wooden spoon) when we arrived. Anyway- one year it rained so we all loaded into a school bus with recorded music playing, waived our flags out the window and “paraded” down the street!”
Christine…
“Spending time with my grandparents on the 4th is my favorite memory. It was the biggest deal to celebrate with them!”
Linda …
“My grandson was BORN on the 4th of July! What a way to enter the world – with a bang!”
We Asked Our Team, “Why are you glad to live and work in America?”
Mary G…
“I live in the “Land of the Free” and the “Home of the Brave”! There are so many people in other countries who can’t say that. I’m very lucky that there have been brave men and women through out our country’s history who have put their lives on the line so that we all can enjoy our freedom.”
