Married? Children?
Katie’s always busy with her husband and two boys, Gabe and Eli, who are 6 and 5 respectively.
What made you decide that you wanted to become a dental hygienist?
Katie has been a hygienist at our practice for almost 12 years! She says it blows her mind to realize it has been that long. Twelve years of developing relationships with so many great patients! “It’s crazy to think that so many of the patients I see have been there as I’ve gotten married and had two beautiful children who are now both in school full time!”
Do you have an unusual or interesting hobby?
When not at work, she is probably watching one of her boys play soccer or baseball! She says it has been such a fun transition with them starting school, watching them make friends and just continuing to develop. She and her husband try to take an active role in their educations, volunteering for school committees, chaperoning field trips, and helping in the classrooms. It really is so much fun! “I also feel really blessed at the amazing support group of parents we have made in our school district, and especially in our neighborhood.”
What do you enjoy most about being a dental hygienist?
Katie would agree her patients make her day at the office. She has developed many strong relationships that have been with her over the past 12 years! Especially at this time of Thanksgiving and the holidays, Katie would like to say thank you to Dr. Costello, her coworkers and all of the great patients who make work so enjoyable!
