As always, the reception staff was friendly and efficient. My hygienist, Rose Parker-Reed, was new to me; she introduced herself, discussed my situation, and gave me ample opportunity to ask questions or ask for clarification. I feel she did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and offering information, combining professionalism with personal warmth. I could not ask for a better experience.

Came in for scheduled cleaning. The technician was extremely pleasant, polite, and interesting to talk to. He talked to me about proper care of my teeth, and offered significant encouragement in a very positive way. All in all, a nice experience.

I hate the dentist so much but Contemporary Dentistry makes it anxiety-free and painless! Dr. Lee is comforting and takes time to explain everything in detail .The front desk staff is very nice, and the office is clean and welcoming. I would recommend to friends and family.

I am a new patient and love this practice! Priscilla helped schedule my first appointment and was very helpful. Everyone was very nice in the office and seemed happy to be there. My dentist hygienist was Ji and she was very nice and gentle with my sensitivity. Dr. Flores was thorough in his examination and always wanted to make sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any questions. Happy I found a good dental practice. Update: this office is still amazing. I've been back 2 times to get fillings. I got fillings for the first time last month and I was a little nervous, but the assistant and Dr. Flores were great. They also have a great gadget that kept my mouth propped open and kept my tongue out of the way. The front desk staff is always nice and say hello and goodbye using my first name.

Edith is my favorite Dental assistant. She is very knowledgeable about oral care, and her pleasant personality and excellent communication make the experience rewarding. I've been a returning client for almost 9 years, because I trust them.

I have been going to the practice since it used to be Ackerman and Associates. Dr. Flores would always come across as a very personable and trust-worthy person for all our dental needs. There was no surprise when Dr. Flores took over and it became Contemporary Dentistry of Centreville that it would create a true family practice that literally felt that way for my wife and I. I had no hesitation in doing my Invisalign with Dr. Flores. It was a wonderful experience and he delivered as promised at the end of the long procedure. I have been a patient with this dental office for years and I would never switch to another dentist. I especially enjoy seeing everyone there from the time in walk in! I have been going to Dr Flores for 15 years and my son for 7 years and we could not be happier with the quality of work and consummate professionalism of the staff.

Dr. Flores is exceptional. He has always treated me with respect and provided outstanding service and results. He is fair and balanced in his approach to business with his patients. My son fell at school and broke one of his front teeth in half. Although I was able to get to the school within 30 minutes, I learned while en route, that his pediatric dentist was not available to take a look at his tooth because he was at a funeral! I quickly contacted Contemporary Dentistry, to see if they could assist. They have been my dentist since 2000, when they were Ackerman and Associates. Although their office was closing early that day, Priscilla told me to come in anyway. So, within 90 minutes after he had broken his tooth, my son was able to be seen by Dr. Flores and his staff. My son is 12 and was nervous about everything, but they made him comfortable and they treated him very well. After running a quick x-ray to evaluate the situation, they were able to successfully repair his broken tooth. He had slight pain for only one day and the repair looks awesome! You can't even tell it was broken. I really appreciate the time that Dr. Flores and his staff at Contemporary Dentistry took to take care of my son. It says a lot about the compassion of everyone there, and one of many reasons why I have chosen to stay with them all of these years! My son says thank you too!

I called around to several dentists in the area and Priscilla was very helpful compared to the other schedulers I spoke to. So I took my entire family of 4 and all experiences have been great! Gentle cleaning, thorough exams and informative when going over exam. Priscilla literally calls everyone by name when they walk through the door and everyone else is very warm and friendly. I would recommend!

First dentist visit in a loooong time. They took everything one step at a time and provided a plan to help fix my issues. Friendly staff and comfortable environment. They were extremely understanding when I had to reschedule an appointment last minute.

A great team from Dr. Flores to the front office staff. Everyone is super friendly and professional; you receive thorough and expert diagnoses and treatments. The entire staff is very sensitive to the apprehensive (dentist-phobic) patient. You are treated with empathy and a professional understanding of your fears. I think this dental office is beyond my expectation and deserves 6 starts. I had a very bad experience with my previous dentist and did not want to visit another one for a long time. Then I had a pain in my teeth and had to visit a dentist. Finally I found a dentist who knows what he is doing :) Thanks to Dr. Flores and your team for putting a great smile on our face. I also appreciate the work my dentist hygienist, Chelsea, did. She is very gentle and dedicated. Although Dr. Flores does the hardest job since he is a dental surgeon, biggest difference came after Chelsea worked on my tooth, I think they use very cool and effective dental tools. I strongly recommend to see Chelsea for your dental hygiene need. You won't regret! Also people in the office make you feel like you are one of their family member. I will definitely keep coming to this office.

I have been going here for years and they have always done a great job and we’re friendly while doing so. They always put their customers first, for instance, today they stayed open late just to accommodate me before I went to school. All around, they are awesome!!

dr Kim was exceptional. His care, gentleness and explanation of everything he was doing or was going to do was thorough and comprehensive. He is very gentle and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone. I actually look forward to my next visit (something I thought I would never say).

The entire team is fantastic! Everyone is super friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. I have gotten a lot of work done with and without insurance. The prices are very reasonable for all the work I got done. I have always been afraid because I was scared of the pain but here I have absolutely no complaints about that. I would highly recommend Dr. Floras and his team!

New technology, great patient experience every time.

Yesterday I had the best experience. Like most people I was nervous to go to the dentist. I had my teeth cleaned, got full xrays, and had a comprehensive examination. I was so surprised by the positive attitude and encouraging atmosphere. It started with Jong, continued with Julie and Dr. Flores. I was welcomed by Priscilla, Barbara, and Edith. Thanks so much for taking a possibly stressful afternoon and making it so awesome!

Amazing experience as always. Had a toothache occur that turned out to be a failed root canal from another dentist and the staff worked to get me in immediately and also to be seen by an Endodontist that day to get the problem solved. I could not ask for a better experience or more caring staff. Thanks!!!

This office is truly amazing. I have always hated going to the dentist and always get really bad anxiety before going but after my 1st visit here i knew that they really cared and wanted me to be comfortable. Dr. Marcos is very good at what he does and they always make sure to check if i am okay.

Dr. Flores is the best dentist I have come across in my 60+ years of extensive dental work history and numerous dentists. I am the worst patient with 0 tolerance for pain and dental drilling sounds. Well, somehow every time Dr. Flores surprises me with “it’s done” while I am still bracing myself for pain that never comes. And his work is spot on! He has done outstanding work and transformed my dental health, smile and confidence. And everyone in the office needs to be clone for their warmth, awesome upbeat attitude and welcoming approach. They are truly the best!

I love Contemporary Dentistry! I'm not that person that actually likes going to the dentist but everyone there is very nice and they try to cater to their patients within reason. The friendliest team of professionals that genuinely care about the service they provide. I highly recommend it. They stay true to appointment times so I never wait more than a couple minutes after the appointment time to be called back.

I used to be absolutely terrified of dentistry because of bad experiences, but over the last ten years, Contemporary Dentistry has completely eliminated that fear. They even put in a dental implant painlessly and even without causing anxiety. On top of that, there is the added bonus of personal attention and very pleasant people.

I have a phobia towards dentists. But Dr. Flores understood me exactly and made everything possible to fix my teeth. He explaines exactly what treatments he will be doing. I feel very comfortable with him. I am very happy with the results we have achieved so far. They use every equipment possible to relax me and numb my teeth. Would definitely recommend this place if you have any fear of dentists.

I just became a patient of Dr. Mayer's late last year. I had been going to my previous dentist for close to 20 years. Dr. Mayer has to be one of the most caring people I have ever met. I recently had a crown and she personally called me to check in on how I was doing. Wow, my previous dentist never did that after 20 years. She and Julie always explain everything they will be doing and I hope to be coming here for 20 years, everyone is so nice and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Mayer is a great dentist.

I have been a patient at Contemporary Dentistry of Virginia-Centreville for over 10 years. I ended up moving from Centreville to Stafford. At the time of the move, I thought I would just find a new Dentist closer to my home. I must say that I have extreme anxiety when it come to scheduling appointments and visiting the dentist. I kept putting it off and off. I was silly to think that I would be able to switch Dentists so easily. I finally realized that it was worth the almost hour drive to keep going to a Dental office that I am so comfortable with. Dr. Flores is truly a dentist who cares about his patients. He is very personable, friendly and has a calm demeanor. He is attentive, supportive, and makes you feel like you are his only patient. As stressed as I am about going to the Dentist, it is always a relief to see him and his staff because they do a great job of making you feel so comfortable. I firmly believe that a good doctor/dentist will attract and keep good staff. And that is definitely the case for the Centreville office. I have so many great things to say about the front desk staff, hygienists and dental assistants. They are all so caring, understanding and friendly. Priscilla is amazing! Every time I talk to her, she remembers who I am, asks me how my husband and kids are and checks up on me. Barbara has a very calm and pleasant demeanor. I have been going to Contemporary Dentistry of Virginia-Centreville since 2003 and can't recall a single unpleasant experience. The office itself has expanded a few times now and the openness of the lobby and front desk areas provide a warm welcome when you walk in the door. Priscilla and Barbara at the front desk have always been extremely pleasant and helpful, going out of their way to make me comfortable. And Priscilla always remembers my name, even if I don't have an appointment. I don't know how she does it! I used to see Dr. Flores for the first few years (with no complaints), but have been seeing Dr. Mayer ever since she oversaw my invisalign treatments. She is such a nice person - always smiling. When I broke my retainer, she worked with my schedule to get a replacement ordered and fitted as soon as possible. Like many people, I had never been fond of going to the dentist. But I really don't mind going anymore. The homey atmosphere and great staff make it a positive experience. I am always happy to recommend Contemporary Dentistry.

Contemporary dentist has been our family dentists for over a decade. Always courteous and do excellent job whether simple cleaning or filling of cavities. Also their front office staff especially Priscilla and Barbara are great. We love the doctors Meyer and Flores and all the hygienists who are passionate in what they are doing.

I've had a cleaning and a few cavities filled here. This is truly the best dentist office I have been to. Not only are they friendly, but they're professional and explain everything they're doing to you in an understandable, non-threatening way. I didn't thing it was possible to like going to the dentist, but Contemporary Dentistry of Virginia has changed all of that. I look forward to my trips to the dentist now more than ever, first because I care about my oral health, second and just as important I enjoy the service, and the care that I receive. I don't expect my trips to the dentist office to be pain free when I need major work done, but they come very close. Simply put, they always minimize the pain factor, and that's very important to me.

I don't love going to the dentist in general, but the staff here makes it so much better! They're so kind and always a familiar and happy crew.

Well-run and friendly front office, including some before-the-procedure insurance research. Dr. Flores was great -- ranging from the most pain-free novacain shot I ever had to saving my cracked tooth with a root-canal rather that having it pulled as I feared. He's going to be my regular dentist from here on...

I love my dentist! I've had a lifelong, intense fear of going to the dentist. That combined with a major sweet tooth led to some serious damage to my teeth. I called one weekend in tremendous pain and Dr. Kelly Mayer called me back. I've now been a patient of hers for several years and could not recommend them any higher. She literally changed my life for the better. Now my whole family (four other adults) all go to see her too. She is the best, as is the whole staff.

First visit to Dr Flores. Basically it was a bridge repair, xrays and consult. I was treated well by both Dr Flores and his assistant, Chad. I will be going back........and I was assured they will do everything they can to make me comfortable.

As always, I'm pleased with the excellent dental care I received at Contemporary Dentistry of Virginia today. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The dental work today was done efficiently by Dr. Flores and his assistant. They both asked regularly about my comfort and pain level (none!). Staff take the time to explain procedures and ensure that all questions are answered.

I visited this office after 13 YEARS of not having routine visits/cleanings. It was well past due and I must say, I was hesitant and nervous. I mean, who really likes being a dentist chair?! Well, not me, not until I sat down in one at Contemporary. The dental assistances, the hygienist, were friendly, comforting, reassuring, and most of all, gained my complete trust. Everything, to my surprise, was exceptional! I also must thank the desk staff for the warm welcome and smiles when walking in! It kept me from walking half way in and turning back around! Needless to say, I will be making Contemporary my permanent dental home! Not to mention, the office tooth fairy is nice to look at while waiting :)

Dr. Flores and his team are amazing!! I went through crown lengthening surgery, Invisalign, crowns, and veneers and I couldn't imagine doing all of that at another office. My husband isn't a fan of going to the dentist at all, but it has been much easier to get him to go after he met Dr. Flores. This office is the best and I recommend them to everyone! They even sent me a Get Well card when they found out I had pneumonia!

I have been coming to this practice for over 10 years, and I am very happy with the care I receive. The staff is accommodating and friendly, and I've never had a long wait. The issues I have had with billing are swiftly resolved (as much as they can be on the provider's end of billing). I usually see Dr. Kelly Mayer and I can not say enough good things about her. She is professional, courteous, and very meticulous in her craft.

I must say that a trip to the dentist is not my favorite place to go but if I have to go to anyplace that would keep my teeth healthy and strong I would go to these guys. Their expertise is phenomenal and overall atmosphere very welcoming. Dr. Mayer is as good as one gets. She is competent, tells you everything you need to hear while she is working on you, and mostly puts you at ease. Dr. Flores is great at what he does. Ive been going to him for about 10yrs and when I first seen him I didn't smile much, but now with all he done, Im smiling all the time. Great staff!!!! I have been going to see Dr. Flores for quite a few years now. Have no complaints. He's very kind, concerned and professional and so is his staff. Nikia is the best hygienist. I was sad when she left but glad she is back!!! I have recommended some friends and they are happy with Contemporary Dentistry of Virginia. Barbara and Priscilla are the best. They are very personable. Love talking to both of them. Walking in. they just greet you like you are their best friend.

Contemporary dentistry is a wonderful Family dental office. They are efficient, courteous and helpful. One of the things I like most about Dr. Mayer is that her hands are so gentle in your mouth. She also explains clearly, her plan for your dental needs and discusses it with you. Priscilla really does know every ones name that comes into the office -she knows who you are. Barbara is really knowledgable about filing claims and helps you get the best support from your coverage provider. The dental hygienists are very cheerful and encouraging. My children enjoy getting their teeth cleaned. The entire staff is very patient and really wants what is best for the patient.

I am a long time client and was a little worried when Dr. Ackerman retired but I have to say that all of the changes they made have been positive. Everyone at the practice is GREAT! if you need a dentist in the Centreville area, look no further.

Very few people can say that they “love” going to the dentist. Well… I am one of those people!! Dr. Flores' professionalism, knowledge and charisma make my visits a pleasant and enjoyable time and all my fears of those dental machines and tools just disappear. His practice is well equipped with the latest technology. His whole staff is very professional and always in a good mood making the place a happy environment. They are all very helpful and knowledgeable of the procedures, insurance, billing and most of all they have a superior customer service.

Love the practice! Everyone from Priscilla, Barbara, Nikia to Dr. Flores is courteous, professional and very friendly. They have always made sure to give their personal attention. I had to take my baby with me for an appointment once and even Dr. Flores joined the staff to play and quiet my baby. Throughout my whole treatment/appointment he was very patient and understanding. I have been going to dentist office for over 7 years now and have had alot of work done there and they have always done good quality work.

Called this nearby dentist office 1st thing on a Monday morning with a dental emergency and in horrible pain and they fit me in that day. I honestly found every single person I encountered in this office to be super friendly and welcoming. They got to the "root" (literally) of the problem immediately and began treatment that unfortunately did not end with that one appointment. I have considerable dental complications and they were ever so accommodating. I felt like I was in excellent hands every time. Tomorrow I go back for the final treatment and I'm not anxious at all like I have been with previous dental experiences. I would highly recommend these folks!

I read many good positive recommendations about Dr Mayer's office and I end up choosing it. I am very pleased with the choice. From the moment you walk in, and you're greeted by Miss Priscilla and the other front office staff, you know this is not your average dentist office. Everyone in the office is genuinely SUPER friendly. Dr. Kelly Mayer is a rockstar dentist! She's been my dentist for a few years now and in that time she has overseen my general oral needs, as well as, replaced all of my fillings with new and improved material, and gave me my first crown (not an easy task but she was so patient ... To clarify, I don't love going to the dentist, but since not going is not an option this is the place to be. Like other long time patients I was worried when Dr. Ackerman retired (he was amazing) but I am happy to report that I am extremely satisfied with services I've received by Dr. Flores over the past couple of years. He's awesome. Trust me. I am a 'cavity prone' person who was in the Navy for years, so I have beyond my fair share of experience with multiple dentists. Nikia and the other hygienist on staff (I think his name is Soul) are AMAZING. They are genuinely nice and great at their jobs. And the women in the front office, Priscilla and Barbara are very polite and good at squeezing you in for emergency root canals! OUCH!

I hate going to the dentist, but this place makes it enjoyable. They have the nicest staff and convenient scheduling. Their work is gently done (which eliminates my typical fears of dentistry), and they handle insurance companies and paperwork with ease.

I used to dread going to the dentist when I was younger, but going in for my 6 month checkup is no big deal. Barbara and Priscilla at the front desk always greet me when I come in. I often call about my invoice or to change my appointment and they can always answer any questions I have. Nikia is the best dental hygienist I've ever had in my life. She does a really thorough job with my cleanings while being extremely gentle on my sensitive teeth. Plus, she's super friendly and outgoing! Dr. Flores and Dr. Mayer are both highly professional.
