YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED TO READ THIS BLOG BECAUSE either you are a patient, you requested to receive it and are not yet a patient, you are a relative of mine, or I just think that I would like you to read it and let me know what you think.
The blog is not meant to be a shameless act of self-promotion. It is an opportunity to connect with my practice family, and more. Dentistry is not just about oral health. It’s all about relationships. People don’t care how much I know until they know how much I care. And you are all part of my family now, as I am a part of yours. I am the 5th dentist in a series of dentists who have worked my practice over the last 100 years. Some of my patients have been part of the practice since the 1940’s and were patients of Dr. Bill Welgen! Now, I have 4 generations of families in my practice and am blessed with the opportunity to get to know my patients as people, beyond their mouths. This is just as enriching for my team and me, as many of you have found by getting to know me. So, this blog will not be just about teeth. As an Oral Physician, it will feature information about a person holistically, teeth, gums, bones, nerves, muscles, and the process of infection and disease (as well as its effects on your mouth and your whole body). This blog will be about how your mouth can affect your health, and how your health can affect your mouth. With the assistance of a great team, we will post blogs that are about many issues in dentistry today, and we will explore all these issues and more over time. However, as the second youngest of 13 children and married to a woman who is #3 of 6, I have found that many of you are very interested in my family and me. So this blog will also have info about me, my family, my incredible team and their accomplishments, and so much more. We’ll include pictures, videos and links to our ever evolving website, Facebook Page (go ahead and ‘like’ it), Twitter, YouTube, and Linked-In sites. Enjoy these adventures into our ongoing community—let us know how we can serve you and what you would like to read about, learn about, and celebrate. Until the next blog…. Warm regards, Larry Stanleigh
