OUR TEAM HAS NOTICED<\/strong> over the years that there are some questions that come up again and again. We love answering your questions! And today, we wanted to cover one of those questions on our blog for everyone else who may find the answer useful. <\/p>\n Usually you should start your child around 3-4 years of age, unless you are concerned about dark spots or chipped teeth. If the child sits well to get their hair cut and\/or when you brush their teeth, then this is a good indicator they are ready. <\/p>\n We want their first experience to be as pleasant as possible, so we do as much or as little as the child seems comfortable doing. We will start by taking them for ride in the chair. Then we will count their teeth and show them how to properly brush their teeth. If all goes well then we may take x-rays and have the doctor do an exam. All the while, we will try to make it fun for the child. <\/p>\n We love getting these kinds of questions from our patients, because we know that it means you\u2019re conscious about your oral health and that of your family.
