If for some reason that isn\u2019t possible, there are a few things you can do to manage your dental pain in the meantime. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rinse and spit with warm saltwater<\/strong> to reduce inflammation<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apply a cold compress<\/strong> to the cheek near the sore area<\/li>\n<li>Take <strong>anti-inflammatory medication<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Use an <strong>over-the-counter topical medication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l-MjUan_gZU?rel=0\" width=\"543\" height=\"305\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<h3><strong>Preventing Future Toothaches<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p> If you\u2019ve had or currently have a toothache, you probably want it to be your last. Obviously some of the causes can\u2019t be prevented, such as sinus infections and a tooth being damaged in an accident, but <strong>there\u2019s a lot you can do to protect your teeth from the aches and pains that come from poor dental health.<\/strong>  Brushing twice a day for two minutes with a soft-bristled brush and fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, and scheduling regular dental appointments will keep your teeth healthy.
