And while it\u2019s true that a couple of\u00a0unsavory side effects aren\u2019t present\u00a0(like smoke\u00a0and\u00a0stained fingers)\u00a0e-cigs still pose health risks to your teeth\u00a0and body. <\/p>\n<h4>E-Cigs Still Contain Nicotine<\/h4>\n<p> <strong>Nicotine is a \u201cvasoconstrictor\u201d that restricts blood flow<\/strong>, inhibiting our mouth\u2019s natural cleaning and disease-fighting functions. Nicotine also reduces our\u00a0body\u2019s ability to heal and create new healthy tissues and cells. E-cigs contain vaporized nicotine, derived from tobacco. And when a person\u00a0uses nicotine, gum disease is more likely to thrive.  E-cigs can also contain MANY other chemical\u00a0substances.
