Her personality and excellent communication skills are a huge part of the service we provide. Lorrie has been employed at our office since 1985. She is Dr. Kelly’s assistant as well as the Office Manager. Lorrie graduated from Marion Franklin High School, and Fort Hayes career centers’ dental assisting program. She has been married 24 years and has one daughter and one son. We recently put Lorrie in the hot seat and asked her some questions so you can get to know her better…
When you have a day off work, what are your favorite things to do?
“First of all I like to sleep in. I also enjoy taking my doggies out for a run and spending quality family time with my husband and kids.”
When you first started at Scott A. Kelly DDS, what were your first impressions of the office and the team? Have those impressions changed?
“When I first started at the office I was young and inexperienced. At times I was very overwhelmed and intimidated by Dr. Ginsburg. (For those that knew him would understand this.) Now I have more confidence and experience. Also working with Dr. Kelly and my co-workers makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable environment.”
Can you share a story about a patient interaction which has stuck out to you?
“I had a patient Robert who was coming in for extended treatment appointments. We developed a relationship while talking about our dogs. His dogs name was Barney and he was just like a child to him and his wife. Robert would bring dog toys to me to give to my animals. I always enjoyed talking with him.”
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
“I love my patients and co-workers!”
