ORAL CANCER IS QUICKLY becoming one of the most prevalent forms of cancer today. But surprisingly, it’s rarely talked about.
Let’s Talk About Oral Cancer
The biggest problem with oral cancer is that many patients aren’t diagnosed with oral cancer until late in the game. We want to help stop that from happening.
(****NOTE TO OUR CLIENTS: Please add here whatever you feel necessary to add about the dangers of oral cancer****)
Some major risk factors for oral cancer are:
- age 40 years or older
- alcohol use
- smoking
- smokeless tobacco
- previous oral cancer history
There Are Other Risk Factors… Everyone Has Some Risk
Don’t misunderstand. If you don’t have any of the risk factors above, you’re still at risk. 40% of oral cancers are actually found in people who don’t identify with any of these risk factors.
OralID Allows Us To Detect Cancer Early
We have an amazing new technology called Oral ID. Oral ID detects cancer before the human eye can find it using sophisticated fluorescence technology. The OralID process is simple:
- We will feel around the outside and inside of your mouth for lesions or growths.
- Using the blue OralID light, (while wearing protecting glasses) we will shine the light around your mouth searching for dark spots or clumps.
- We’ll discuss anything we’re concerned about with you.
