EVERYONE LOVES a great movie, right? But what different people define as a “great movie” varies greatly!
Maybe you love horror movies. Or maybe bizarre comedies. Are you into period dramas? Sci-fi? Perhaps you love them all!
Whatever Your Preference, We Want To Hear About It!
To start it off, we asked some of our team members to answer two simple questions—and we’re going to ask you to do the same:
- What is your favorite movie?
- Why is it your favorite movie?
Here Are Our Team’s Answers
(NOTE TO OUR CLIENTS: Your team’s answers to the two questions above will appear here. We’ve included an example below. These are real answers from some of your friends at My Social Practice!)
Christine:
“500 Days of Summer, because I love sad endings and Joseph Gordon-Levitt :)”
Hannah M:
“Mary Poppins. Why? Well that’s obvious. It’s Mary Poppins.”
Hannah:
“Temple Grandin. Could it be the hipster obscurity of the movie that I love? The award-winning talent Claire Danes so articulately displays? Or perhaps the boldness of taking on two heavy subject matters (Autism and animal rights) in one movie that moves me to tears? No it’s because it’s a true story that this movie has remained in my ever changing “top three” for years. Watch it! I’m serious. Take the *109 minutes and enrich your life.”
Rob:
“The Matrix. It was the invention of bullet time.”
Tiffany:
“Singing in the Rain. It’s a classic and it makes me happy. Tap dancing, 20’s fashion, romance, good songs, old Hollywood.”
Jacqueline:
“Strictly Ballroom. Glitter, chaos, dancing, and Aussies. What more do you need in a movie?”
Adrian:
“Babe. because it shows a human being how to act in the face of inevitable death.”
Jackson:
“The Dark Knight. The joker is such a great, memorable character—one of the best villains of all time.”
James:
“Life is Beautiful. I love how, despite their difficult circumstances, the characters are able to find humor and even joy in their lives. I’m also very inspired by how it depicts a father’s willingness to sacrifice all for his son. It’s a funny, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and brilliant movie!”
Jack:
“Edward Scissorhands. All of life’s lessons are contained in this film.”
